NRMA Insurance is a major corporate partner to The Salvation Army. Their support includes internal fundraising, staff volunteering, and direct financial donations.
In past years, NRMA Insurance has sponsored the Salvo Care Line, and is now the major sponsor of The Salvation Army Emergency Services. During the Canberra Bushfires, NRMA Insurance played a major role helping The Salvation Army care for those families affected by the tragedy.
Internal support is also encouraged within the corporation. Staff fundraising is a priority and employees are encouraged to volunteer for appeals such as the Red Shield Appeal.

Westpac is another prominent partner that contributes significantly to The Salvation Army. The Westpac and Salvation Army relationship is one of the longest community–corporate partnerships in Australia. The corporation has been involved with the Red Shield Appeal for over 30 years.
Westpac staff members play a major role in volunteer work for the services and centres provided by The Army, as well as having providing a large volunteer base for the Red Shield Doorknock Appeal.
Their Westpac’s support extends to sponsorship of various campaigns, most recently the Red Shield Appeal Opening in Sydney.

As part of a national Salvation Army food drive conducted prior to Christmas every year, Coles has annually donated $100,000 worth of food vouchers, placed food bins in around 450 stores nationally for customer food donations, and encouraged suppliers to donate. This support has added up to approximately $4 million over the last nine years. Last Christmas, Coles raised more than $740,000 for The Salvation Army.
Australia’s largest Christmas gift appeal, the Kmart Wishing Tree, calls on people to donate gifts for people in need in their community and for children who might not otherwise receive a gift.
The Myer annual ‘Spirit of Christmas’ CD has become a collector’s item and over the years has raised more than $3.2 million for The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal.
Barry Jackson, representing Myer Grace Bros said: “We were very pleased to be able to help the Salvation Army continue its valuable work by raising $401,398 in 2002 from the sale of the ‘Spirit of Christmas' CD."Since the first The Spirit of Christmas CD hit the stores 11 years ago, this Myer initiative has raised over $5.2million . The Salvation Army is enormously greatful to Myer– thanks to the support of national management and , staff, as well as the and hundreds of thousands of Australians. who clearly love celebrating Christmas with great music and(plus the knowledge that their purchase will help make someone else’s Christmas happier.
As part of a three-year commitment, this year’s profits from the proceeds will again be distributed through The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal to support at-risk children and youth throughout Australia.
Managing director of Myer Dawn Robertson said, “The Spirit of Christmas CD has been a long tradition at Myer. We take great pride knowing our work supports the Salvation Army by providing young people with much needed services.”
Woolworths supports The Salvation Army in a range of ways. At Christmas, Woolworths support the Salvos through Carols in the Domain, the proceeds of which go towards the Oasis Youth Network. Woolworths also partnered with the Salvos in the midst of the Tsunami tradgedy by collecting donations in-store.
The Woolworths Foundation has also donated directly to the work of The Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army and Fairfield RSL have partnered together to found the Sydney Problem Gambling Centre. Fairfield RSL is the major sponsor of the centre, which aims to provide support those trying to remove themselves from harmful gambling habits.
